Will I Need To Stay In The
Hospital After My Facelift?

Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Also serving West Chester, Newton Square, and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania

A facelift can be performed in the hospital with an overnight stay or in the outpatient surgery center. It can be performed under general anesthesia or with local anesthesia and IV sedation. Depending on the extent and length of the case, an overnight stay in the hospital may be recommended.

In general, more extensive procedures such as a full facelift may require an overnight stay at the hospital. Less invasive procedures such as a short scar or mini facelift can be performed on an outpatient basis. At your initial consultation, Philadelphia plastic surgeon Dr. David Bottger will advise you of all of these different options and recommend the one that best suits your individual needs.
