How Much Pain Will I Feel
After A Facelift?

Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Also serving West Chester, Newton Square, and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania

A facelift is associated with some pain, but it is usually not excessive. Mostly, there is a feeling of tightness and numbness, which gradually dissipates over the first several weeks. You will generally experience some bruising and swelling near the surgical wounds. It is important to keep your head elevated during the first week to help reduce the bruising and swelling.

Philadelphia plastic surgeon Dr. David Bottger will prescribe pain medication to help you control the pain immediately following your facelift. He will also provide you with detailed instructions for follow-up care at this time. It is important to follow these instructions carefully to ensure proper healing.

Please contact our Philadelphia plastic surgery office today to schedule your initial consultation with Dr. Bottger. We serve patients in Philadelphia, Bryn Mawr, and West Chester, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
